New Digs

As promised, here are a few shots of the new place…

This is from entry looking into the main space and into the kitchen.  It’s a stock image from the company.  My studio doesn’t have a window or radiator on that wall.  Half the fun will be figuring out how to set-up the place, but I’m looking forward to it.

Here are two shots of the kitchen.  It has new counter tops, appliances, and a dish washer.  The picture is taken from the large dining space.  This 5th floor unit gets a lot more sunlight than the lobby level unit we looked at first.  We’re headed out this weekend to find a nice new table to fill it up!

DC Bound

I’m extremely excited to announce that I’ve accepted a new position as an Underwriter Trainee with The Hartford in Alexandria, VA.  I was able to find a great new apartment near Lauren in Woodley Park (pictures to follow) and can’t wait to get settled in.  My last day at Merion will be April 9th, my move date is April 14th, and I start the new role on the 19th.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks, but I’m extremely excited by the opportunity and the organization.  I don’t know what I’ve done right, but I need to keep doing it, based upon all the things that have worked out for me lately!

As for racing, Lauren and I are doing a 5k this weekend, shooting for another run in late April, I’ve got the Broad Street 10-Miler in May, hopefully a tri in late May, and finally the DC Olympic in June.  Here’s to a great racing season to follow-up all of these great career moves!
